Bunions and ingrown toenail

Hallus valgus or bunion and have in common ingrown toenail can be very painful, preventing fit properly, causing alterations of the support points on the feet and finally to either given the real importance to the patient that suffers from being considered minor surgical problems.

The bunion is usually painless in the bone deformity but by the inflammation of a bursa, or bursitis that protects the joint from external trauma. As we all know happens in the joint of the big toe with the body of the foot or metatarsal and is due to flattening of the anterior arch of the foot or both arches isolated pathology that sets the famous "flat feet". Stepping improperly forefoot sector widens deforming the proximal joint of first finger forming a more or less marked prolapse according to evolution.

When the bunion is very evolved and constitutes a veritable joint disorder, one must resort to surgery trauma requiring in many cases to special nail fixation to the first finger, but most of the time, the bunion begins to suffer when is hardly a bony exostosis or prolapse of the first phalanx. In these cases, which are the most common we can make a mini day surgery removing the bone overlying the bursa which is what causes the pain and leaving the joint balanced. It is done with local anesthesia in 40 or 50 minutes and the patient usually can wander from the third day.

The toenail is a condition that can occur in any toe but mostly occurs in the first.

The nail is born bent in lateral sectors and inserted into the meat of the ball - embodies - damaging its structures.

To control the damage and recover the tissue must be removed completely or nail lateral sectors are those that embody. With local anesthesia, it appears the nail matrix and its support of acrylic leaves in place. In 21 days comes a new one but no problems.
